Critic's response:

Life-affirming European tragicomedy, which may well have to stay in Hollywood. Black loafer Driss (C) states at the next interview only to lucidly explain seeker nurse rich people with disabilities (Cluzet), that this work does not appeal to him: he came only "for show", and in general in the near future expects to benefit. After he left the invalid will not be counted on the mantelpiece of one of Faberge eggs. "Well, why me this Kinder Surprise? Do you think it will help defray the cost for an apartment? "- Asked at home aunt Drissa and finally lost patience and nephew puts out. The next morning, he realizes that more familiar with disability he does not get out. Further, it is clear - the fatal incompatibility of the employer and the employee eventually turn into a platform for a strong male friendship: one is the "Maserati", the other - lihacheskaya prowess, together they are invincible. Basing the story on contrasts - between the poor and immigrant-millionaire aristocrat, glib Hoosier and fragile paralyzed, uneducated boor and sophisticated intellectual - you can always count on some audience interest. However, to argue that the audience love the film won only thanks to a win-win topic, it would be unfair. Nadergat little worthy of all the dramas of this kind (nasmotrennost film fans can easily recognize collisions in "1 + 1" and "Scent of a Woman" and "Knockin 'on Heaven," and even "... Rory O'Shea Was Here"), and Nakash Toledano from recycled material managed to build a coherent story, perfect in every single moment. Part of the whole thing here in the apothecary accuracy with which the calibrated relationship between comedy and drama (rather than bemoan the fate of the two losers, we prefer good-naturedly made fun of them), but basically the entire structure rests on the lead actors. Let Omar Sy and François Cluzet known except that the lovers of French cinema, the notorious "chemistry" between them is enough to ensure that until the last minute - and the film is nearly two hours - easily and naturally keep the viewer in front of the screen. Perhaps the only thing that particularly exacting critics might reproach tape, so it is a conditional life-affirming pathos: who knows how events unfolded would not be the owner of the fabulous invalid state, allowing at the whim of the left heel to throw from the city to the mountains - hang glide. However, this just chicane at Nakash and Toledano has a killer argument: from the song words can not erase, and the basis for their incredibly beautiful story - the real story of a French businessman and his assistant-Arab. Businessman is still enjoying life (working on the film, directors repeatedly turned to him for advice), the Arabs, too, things are going very well, a fairy tale, so, sometimes. And that is not all - so who's to blame.
