Stills from the Lockout:
Cheerful and ironic thriller for viewers nostalgic for the "Die Hard" and "Cobra". Near future. The daughter of an American president (Maggie Grace) is sent on a humanitarian mission in space security prison, in order to personally make sure that there is compliance with civil rights stumbled compatriots. Of course, during her visit to a riot breaks out, and now have to bail out the ideological lady sarcastic special agents Snow (Guy Pearce), who at one time he almost landed in the same prison as a prisoner. If agreed, since the beginning of zero creators militants have been together balk on realism, and the heroes of the genre long pulls even charismatic, but still Gopnik. To see this, just look at the filmography of Jason Steytema or revise a couple of recent Bond film, where 007 instead of letting go of secular puns, silently charges foes on the liver. However, as time passed, and it seems that movie with gunfights finally missed the merrier macho, which made his name in the glorious 80s. Then the normal action hero was obliged not only to distribute boxes on the ear, but do not forget to smile radiantly, insert silly puns in the pauses between fights, wearing sunglasses even at night and smoking all the time (in extreme cases - chewing a toothpick). Unlike many of his colleagues, Luc Besson never with this pathway is not folded - all of its director's and producer's projects on the topic ("The Fifth Element", "District 13", "Taken") were literally soaked machismo and gusarstvom. And the "straight ahead", opening caption "Luc Besson is" just could not depart from the canon: here are some excellent jokes (especially note the animated anecdote about the Negro and air), a gallery of armed psychotic freaks, flirting with the classics from "Taxi Driver" to "Cobra" (from the last one dialogue borrowed almost entirely) and unrealistically steep protagonist. Wonderful character actor Guy Pearce, one time played mostly artists, transvestites and caregivers, partly turned into a bully after westerns "The Proposal" and he really is. He lights in space from the petrol lighter, endlessly quips to the traditionally vague blue heroine (women in this movie has historically paid little space) and in spite of physics and common sense shuttle rides to the shuttle like a drunken trooper on the fountains of Gorky Park. He, perhaps, lacking only the proprietary chants such as "Yupikaey" or ring sharpness like I'll be back, but on the other hand, we ourselves think of something, it's better still to jump.
